Bu Rina. Itulah nama panggilan dari Wakil Kepala Sekolah Hubungan Masyarakat (Waka Humas) sekolah kami. Pemilik nama lengkap Marina Budi Rahayu telah memiliki pengalaman mengajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) selama 36 tahun di SMP Negeri 1 Turi.
Kualitas guru satu ini tidak perlu diragukan lagi secara Bu Rina sudah beberapa kali menjuarai lomba guru dari tingkat kabupaten hingga nasional. Guru satu ini juga pernah menjadi penulis buku di Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud) beberapa tahun silam. Guru yang sebentar lagi memasuki masa purna, tepatnya dua tahun lagi, namun tetap memiliki kesungguhan untuk memberikan yang terbaik untuk putra putri bangsa.
Tidak seperti kebanyakan guru yang menjelang usia pensiun, antusiasme Bu Rina untuk melakukan pengembangan diri terus menyala bak dian yang tak kunjung padam. Bu Rina saat ini sedang proses naik pangkat ke golongan IV/c. Suatu pencapaian yang tidak mudah dicapai oleh sembarang orang meskipun Bu Rina bukan sosok orang yang ambisius mengejar karir atau pangkat/ golongan. Bukan mengejar karir, namun karirlah yang mengejar karena Bu Rina adalah pribadi yang tulus ikhlas dalam mengembangkan diri demi memperbaiki proses maupun hasil pembelajaran di kelasnya. Menurutnya, guru penggerak sudah seharusnya melakukan segala sesuatu semata-mata karena ingin memberikan yang terbaik bagi murid, bukan karena mengejar ambisi pribadi atau karir.
“Jika karir melejit itu bukan karena guru ambisius mengejarnya tetapi karena karir itu mengikuti kesungguhan guru dalam melakukan perubahan demi kemajuan pendidikan yang berada di pundaknya sesuai dengan ketugasannya. Memberikan dan melakukan yang terbaik untuk murid sebagai generasi penerus bangsa atau pemegang tongkat estafet kepemimpinan bangsa dan negara di masa depan merupakan tujuan utama yang melandasi setiap keputusan dan tindakan guru. Jika karir ikut melejit ya itu bonus,” imbuhnya.
Semua guru sepatutnya menjadi guru penggerak. Bu Rina menyebut bahwa guru harus terus bergerak demi mencapai kemajuan. Prinsipnya, hari ini harus lebih baik daripada kemarin dan besok harus lebih baik dari sekarang. Guru adalah agen perubahan atau agent of change. Suatu perubahan yang hanya dapat dicapai jika guru memulai dari dirinya sendiri untuk senantiasa bergerak memperbaiki diri dari waktu ke waktu. Jika guru sudah berhasil menggerakan diri sendiri, guru tersebut akan mudah menggerakkan guru-guru lain sehingga semua guru dalam satu sekolah memiliki kebiasaan (habit) untuk tidak pernah berhenti mengembangkan diri atau kompetensinya sebagai guru hingga terbentuk sebuah sistem atau budaya di kalangan guru di sekolah (school culture). Ketika guru memiliki budaya positif, ia akan lebih mudah meciptakan budaya positif di kalangan siswa. Pada akhirnya, guru penggerak harus dapat menjadi teladan kepada rekan sejawat maupun peserta didik. Jika meminjam istilah Ki Hajar Dewantara, guru penggerak berperan di depan sebagai teladan atau ing ngarsa sung tuladha.
Sebagai penutup Bu Rina menyebut bahwa guru penggerak memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam mewujudkan bangsa dan negara yang maju dan bermartabat. Peran guru penggerak adalah sebagai agen perubahan. Perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik akan terjadi jika guru penggerak mampu menjadi teladan atau ing ngarsa sung tuladha. Keteladanan dapat dilakukan dengan memulai perubahan itu dari diri sendiri, baru melakukan perubahan kepada orang lain, terutama murid. Bu Rina juga mengingatkan bahwa guru penggerak harus mampu mengubah murid yang belum berharga menjadi berharga ibarat mengubah sebongkah batu menjadi berlian. Singkatnya, peran guru penggerak sebagai agen perubahan sangat penting dalam mewujudkan peserta didik sebagai generasi penerus bangsa yang unggul dan berkarakter sehingga di masa depan mampu berpartispasi aktif dalam pembangunan bangsa dan Negara Indonesia agar menjadi bangsa dan negara maju dan bermartabat.
