Pada hari Rabu, 2 Maret 2022 saya bersama teman-teman peserta Diklat Calon Guru Penggerak Angkatan 3 Kabupaten Sleman memasuki alur merdeka belajar Ruang Kolaborasi. Saya bersama dua teman sekelompok mencari video tentang asset yang dimiliki oleh daerah kami, yaitu Kabupaten Sleman, Provinsi Yogyakarta. Setelah melalui diskusi kami menyepakati untuk menganalisis Candi Prambanan sebagai salah satu asset yang dimiliki oleh pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Sleman. Sebelum lebih jauh obrolan.
Hal Menarik dalam Pemetaan Sumber Daya
Hal menarik bagi saya saat memetakan sumber daya dari Candi Prambanan adalah ternyata dari satu tempat saja dapat ditemukan 7 aset atau modal yang dapat digunakan oleh sekolah untuk mendukung proses belajar murid.
Aset pertama adalah modal manusia, yaitu peserta didik sebagai warga Sleman merasa bangga karena memiliki Candi Prambanan yang merupakan candi Hindu terbesar di Indonesia. Keberadaan Candi Prambanan juga dapat menginispirasi peserta didik untuk meningkatkan kecakapan seni dan budaya peserta dengan menyaksikan bangunan Candi Prambanan itu sendiri maupun dengan menyaksikan sendratari Ramayana.
Aset kedua adalah modal sosial. Candi Prambanan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar bagi para siswa dengan mengamati kegiatan perekonomian di sector pariwisata.
Aset ketiga adalah modal fisik. Peserta didik dapat mempelajari arsitek bangunan candi. Candi Prambanan juga dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar sejarah, terutama sejarah kerajaan Hindu.
Aset keempat adalah modal lingkungan atau alam. Di sekitar candi terdapat sungai, taman dan camping ground yang dapat digunakan sebagai sarana atau prasarana belajar berbasis alam atau lingkungan.
Aset kelima adalah modal finansial. Candi Prambanan sebagai salah satu obyek wisata cagar budaya menyediakan tiket masuk obyek wisata dengan tarif pelajar sehingga siswa dapat membayar tiket dengan harga yang lebih murah dibandingkan dengan harga tiket pada umumnya.
Asset keenam adalah modal agama dan budaya. Siswa dapat belajar tentang agama, budaya, dan sejarah Hindu. Terlebih lagi di dalam akwasan candi seringkali digunakan sebagai tempat perayaan hari besar agama Hindu seperti Nyepi. Pada saat perayaan siswa dapat berkunjung untuk melihat prosesi perayaan Nyepi dan menumbuhkan sikap toleransi atau menghargai antar umat beragama.
Aset ketujuh adalah modal politik. Sekolah sapat melakukan Kerjasama dengan candi sehingga siswa dapat menimkamti fasiltas candi dengan harga yang terjangkau. Selain itu, siswa juga dapat ikut serta secara aktif dalam melestarikan candi Pranbanan sebagai warisan budaya adiluhung dari nenek moyang dengan cara mempelajari sejarah, agama, dan budaya Hindu atau ketika berkunjung tidak merusak atau mengotori lingkungan candi.
Hebat bukan, hanya dengan satu tempat ternyata memiliki 7 aset berharga yang dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran.
Ups…Ternyata Sering Salah
Pola piker yang seringkali saya gunakan saat melakukan perubahan atau upaya perbaikan adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis kekurangan/ masalah (Deficit based thinking) daripada pendekatan berbasis asset/ kekuatan (Asset-Based Thinking). Ketika menghadapi siswa bermasalah, saya lebih cenderung melihat sisi negatif yang dimiliki oleh siswa tersebut daripada melihat kelebihan atau kekuatan siswa tersebut. Sekolah juga demikian. Program-program yang disusun dengan mencari kekeurangan yang kemudian sekolah mencari solusi bagaimana kekurangan itu dapat diperbaiki.
Stop Pendekatan Berbasis Masalah
Sebelum mempelajari modul ini, saya maupun sekolah masih sering menggunakan pendekatan berbasis masalah. Namun setelah mempelajari modul ini saya menjadi lebih paham seharusnya dalam menyelesaikan masalah dengan menerapkan pendekatan berbasis masalah justru membuat siswa merasa semakin tidak nyaman dan akibatnya semakin parah dalam menganggu teman-temannya yang sedang serius mengikuti pelajaran. Oleh karena itu, sejak saya mempelajari materi ini saya lebih memilih untuk menggunakan pendekatan berbasis asset dalam melakukan perubahan atau perbaikan.
Pendekatan Berbasis Aset
Saya terus bepikir bahwa pendekatan yang paling sesuia dengan karaketristik sekolah saya adalah dengan menerapkan pendekatan berbasis asset/ kekuatan. Guru dapat menggunakan pendekatan ini untuk keperluan diri sendiri, keluarga dan murid.
