Latar Belakang
PP No. 57 Tahun 2021 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan menyebutkan bahwa pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik dapat mengembangkan potensi dirinya secara aktif agar memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta keterampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Keberhasilan satuan pendidikan dalam menyelanggarakan pendidikan dapat diukur melalui Standar Kompetensi Lulusan (SKL).
SKL adalah kriteria minimal tentang kesatuan sikap, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan yang menunjukkan capaian kemampuan peserta didik dari hasil pembelajarannya pada akhir jenjang pendidikan. Dalam PP No. 57 tahun 2021 Pasal 6 disebutkan bahwa SKL pada jenjang pendidikan dasar difokuskan pada penanaman karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila serta kompetensi literasi dan numerasi. PP ini mengamanatkan kepada semua satuan pendidikan dasar untuk mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila.
Profil pelajar Pancasila memiliki arti penting bagi kemajuan bangsa dan negara. Peserta didik yang memiliki profil pelajar Pancasila akan tumbuh menjadi insan cerdas dan berkarakter. Insan cerdas dan berkarakter inilah yang akan menjadi generasi penerus bangsa yang berkualitas yang mampu memegang tongkat estafet pembangunan nasional untuk mencapai kemajuan dan kemakmuran bagi bangsa dan negara Indonesia.
Namun demikian, mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila bukan perkara mudah seperti membalikkan telapak tangan. Perlu upaya yang sungguh-sungguh yang melibatkan semua komponen atau pemangku kepentingan satuan pendidikan sehingga satuan pendidikan berhasil mewujudkan peserta didik yang memiliki profil pelajar Pancasila.
Ada beberapa cara untuk mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila, salah satu di antaranya adalah Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional (PSE). Dengan PSE, peserta didik berlatih untuk mengenali emosi, mengelola diri, memiliki kesadaran sosial, memiliki keterampilan relasi, dan pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab.
Profil Pelajar Pancasila
Profil pelajar Pancasila meliputi enam karakter. Pertama adalah beriman dan bertakwa kepada Tuhan YME dan berakhlak mulia. Elemen kunci beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan YME dan berakhlak mulia adalah akhlak beragama, akhlak pribadi, akhlak kepada manusia, akhlak kepada alam, dan akhlak bernegara.
Kedua, berkebinekaan global, yaitu mempertahankan budaya luhur, lokalitas dan identitasnya, tetapi tetap berpikir terbuka dalam berinteraksi dengan budaya lain sehingga menumbuhkan rasa saling menghargai dan mungkin terbentuk budaya baru yang positif dan tidak bertentangan dengan budaya luhur bangsa. Elemen kunci berkebhinekaan global adalah mengenal dan menghargai budaya, mampu berkomunikasi interkultural dalam berinteraksi dengan sesama, serta refleksi dan tanggung jawab terhadap pengalaman kebinekaan.
Ketiga, gotong royong, yaitu mampu melakukan kegiatan secara Bersama-sama dengan suka rela sehingga kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat berjalan dengan lancar, mudah, dan ringan. Elemen kunci dari gotong royong adalah kolaborasi, kepedulian, dan berbagi.
Keempat, mandiri, yaitu peserta didik yang bertanggung jawab atas proses dan hasil belajarnya. Elemen kunci mandiri meliputi kesadaran akan diri dan situasi yang dihadapi dan regulasi diri.
Kelima, adalah bernalar kritis. Bernalar kritis adalah kemampuan secara obyektif memproses informasi baik kualitatif maupun kuantitatif , menganalisis informasi, mengevaluasi dan menyimpulkan. Elemen kunci bernalar kritis adalah memperoleh dan memproses informasi dan gagasan, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi penalaran, merefleksi pemikiran dan proses berpikir, dan mengambil keputusan.
Terakhir adalah kreatif. Kreatif adalah kemampuan memodifikasi dan menghasikan sesuatu yang orisinal, bermakna, bermanfaat, dan berdampak. Elemen kunci kreatif adalah menghasilkan gagasan yang orisinil dan menghasilkan karya dan tindakan yang orisinil.
Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional
Pembelajaran Sosial dan Emosional (PSE) adalah pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara kolaboratif oleh seluruh komunitas sekolah. Proses kolaborasi ini memungkinkan anak dan orang dewasa di sekolah memperoleh dan menerapkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap positif mengenai aspek sosial dan emosional.
Pembelajaran sosial dan emosional bertujuan: 1) memberikan pemahaman, penghayatan dan kemampuan untuk mengelola emosi (kesadaran diri) 2)menetapkan dan mencapai tujuan positif (pengelolaan diri) 3)merasakan dan menunjukkan empati kepada orang lain (kesadaran sosial) 4)membangun dan mempertahankan hubungan yang positif (keterampilan membangun relasi). 5)membuat keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. (pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab)
PSE berkaitan erat dengan pengalaman apa yang akan dialami, apa yang akan dipelajari oleh peserta didik dan bagaimana guru mengajar. Guru harus mampu merancang sekolah dan ruang kelas, waktu belajar, ruang-ruang yang ada di sekolah, hubungan dengan komunitas sekolah dan keluarga dan yang lainnya sebagai tempat pertukaran pengetahuan tentang dunia, diri sendiri dan orang lain sehingga peserta didik memiliki pengalaman untuk menjadi manusia seutuhnya, yaitu mampu memahami diri sendiri dan orang lain.
Penerapan PSE untuk Mewujudkan Profil Pelajar Pancasila
Penerapan PSE dalam proses pembelajaran bertujuan untuk mengajarkan Kompetensi Sosial Emosional (KSE) yang meliputi kesadaran diri, pengelolaan diri, kesadaran sosial, keterampilan relasi, dan mengambil keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. Dengan mengajarkan KSE, profil pelajar Pancasila akan dapat terwujud dengan baik. Mengapa demikian? Kita simak penjelasan berikut.
Kesadaran diri adalah kemampuan untuk mengelola emosi dengan baik. Kesadaran diri mendorong seseorang untuk bersikap responsif, bukan reaktif. Dengan kemampuan mengelola emosi, peserta didik dapat menetapkan tujuan yang positif dan bertanggung sehingga terbangun hubungan yang baik secara vertikal kepada Tuhan YME dan horisontal kepada sesama manusia dan lingkungan sekitar. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan memiliki kemampuan mengelola diri, peserta didik akan mampu menanamkan keimanan dan ketakwaan kepada Tuhan YME dan berakhlak mulia kepada sesama umat manusia, lingkungan sekitar, kepada bangsa dan negaranya, bahkan kepada masyarakat dunia.
Pengelolaan diri adalah kemampuan untuk mengelola emosi dan fokus untuk mencapai tujuan positif. Kemampuan mengelola diri sangat diperlukan karena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari seringkali peserta didik dihadapkan pada beberapa masalah ampun tugas yang harus diselesaikan dalam waktu yang sama sehingga menimbulkan stress. Dalam keadaan stress, peserta didik tidak akan mampu mengambil keputusan dengan tepat dan tidak dapat melakukan sesuatu dengan baik sehingga hasil yang dicapai juga tidak optimal. Untuk itu, peserta didik perlu diajari bagaimana mengelola diri sehingga tetap fokus pada tujuannya yang positif. kemampuan mengelola diri ini erat kaitannya dengan nilai kemandirian pada profil pelajar Pancasila. Dengan kemandirian, peserta didik melakukan sesuatu berdasarkan kemauan sendiri atau atas insiatif diri sendiri tanpa adanya paksaan dari faktor eksternal. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan PSE yaitu dengan mengajarkan pengelolaan diri sebagai salah satu KSE dapat mewujudkan salah satu profil pelajar Pancasila yaitu mandiri. Jika keputusan yang diambil peserta didik merupakan adaptasi atau modifikasi atau bahkan sesuatu yang baru, maka peserta didik telah menumbuhkan nilai kreatif yang juga merupakan salah satu profil pelajar Pancasila.
Kesadaran sosial adalah kemampuan untuk merasakan dan menunjukkan empati kepada orang lain. Dengan kesadaran sosial, peserta didik memiliki kemampuan untuk menempatkan diri dan melihat perspektif orang lain. Kemampuan untuk mengenali dan memahami serta merasakan perasan-emosi orang lain sehingga dapat melihat perspektif sudut pandang orang lain disebut empati. Dengan empati, peserta didik memiliki sikap menghormati, tidak salam emmahami, dan mengapresiasi pengalaman orang lain. Dengan empati, peserta didik dapat membangun hubungan yang lebih hangat dan positif dengan orang lain. Kemampuan menjalin hubungan yang baik kepada orang lain merupakan wujud akhlak mulia peserta didik kepada sesama manusia. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan mengajarkan peserta didik tentang kesadaran sosial, peserta didik dapat menumbuhkan profil pelajar Pancasila, khususnya berakhlak mulia.
Keterampilan membangun relasi adalah membangun dan mempertahankan hubungan yang positif. Dengan keterampilan ini, peserta didik dapat berkerja sama dan menyelesaikan konflik dengan baik. Ketrampilan membangun relasi ini sangat penting karena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari peserta ddik perlu bekerja sama dengan pihak lain untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. Namun, dalam menjalin hubungan seringkali terjadi konflik sehingga peserta didik harus mampu menyelesaikan konflik tersebut secara konstruktif agar tecipta hubungan yang positif dengan orang lain. Kemampuan membangun relasi erat hubungannya dengan menjaga kerukunan antar umat beragama, suku, bangsa, dan negara. Meskipun berbeda-beda agama, suku, ras, budaya, negara, dsb tetap terjalin hubungan yang baik sebagai sesama warga negara dan warga dunia. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan PSE dengan mengajarkan KSE keterampilan membangun relasi dapat menumbuhkan profil pelajar Pancasila, khususnya nilai berkebhinekaan global.
KSE terakhir yang harus diajarkan kepada peserta didik dalah mampu mengambil keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. Pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab adalah kemampuan untuk membuat pilihan-pilihan yang konstruktif terkait dengan eprilaku pribadi serta interaksi sosial berdasarkan standar etika, pertimbangan kemanan dan keselamatan serta norma sosial. Jika keterampilan ini dilatih secara konsisten, peserta didk akan memliki daya lenting (resiliensi) yang baik dalam menghadapi segala konsekuensi yang harus dihadapi akibat keputusan yang dibuat dalam hidupnya. Keterampilan dalam pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab erat kaitannya dengan keenam nilai dalam profil pelajar Pancasila. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran KSE pengambilan keputusan secara bertanggung jawab dapat mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila.
Bagaimana Menerapkan Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional
Terdapat empat cara untuk menerapkan PSE untuk mengajarkan Kompetensi Sosial Emosional (KSE).
- Mengajarkan Kompetensi Sosial Emosional (KSE) secara spesifik dan eksplisit (dengan sebuah kurikulum).
- Mengintegrasikan Kompetensi Sosial Emosional (KSE) ke dalam praktik mengajar guru dan gaya interaksi dengan murid.
- Mengubah kebijakan dan ekspektasi sekolah terhadap murid.
- Mempengaruhi pola pikir murid tentang persepsi diri, orang lain dan lingkungan.
Kesimpulan dan Saran
Dari pembahasan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil pelajar Pancasila dapat diwujudkan dengan menerapkan Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional (PSE). PSE dapat diterapkan dengan mengajarkan Kompetensi Sosial Emosional (KSE) yang meliputi kesadaran diri, pengelolaan diri, kesadaran sosial, keterampilan membangun relasi, dan pengambilan keputusan yang bertanggung jawab. Dengan mengajarkan KSE, satuan pendidik dapat mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila pada peserta didik sebagai indikator keberhasilan satuan pendidikan dalam melaksanakan proses pendidikan sesuai dengan amanat UU No. 57 Tahun 2021 pasal 6 tentang Standar Kompetensi Lulusan (SKL), yaitu penanaman karakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Karena penerapan PSE diyakini efektif untuk mewujudkan profil pelajar Pancasila, disarankan bagi sekolah maupun guru agar menerapkan PSE dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas maupun sekolah untuk mengajarkan KSE.
