Halo, pembaca budiman. Apa kabar? Berjumpa kembali dengan saya untuk berbagi cerita tentang Diklat CGP yang sedang saya ikuti. Kali ini saya memasuki minggu ke-16. Pada minggu ini kami emmaasuki alur belajar merdeka Ruang Kolaborasi dan Demonstrasi Kontekstual Coaching.
Refleksi kali ini disusun menggunakan model Reporting, Responding, Relating, Reasoning, dan Reconstructing (5R). Model refleksi 5M diadaptasi dari model 5R (Bain, dkk, 2002, dalam Ryan & Ryan, 2013). 5M terdiri dari langkah-langkah berikut:
1. Mendeskripsikan (Reporting): menceritakan ulang peristiwa yang terjadi
2. Merespon (Responding): menjabarkan tanggapan yang diberikan dalam menghadapi peristiwa yang diceritakan, misalnya melalui pemberian opini, pertanyaan, ataupun tindakan yang diambil saat peristiwa berlangsung.
3. Mengaitkan (Relating): menghubungkan kaitan antara peristiwa dengan pengetahuan, keterampilan, keyakinan atau informasi lain yang dimiliki.
4. Menganalisis (Reasoning): menganalisis dengan detail mengapa peristiwa tersebut dapat terjadi, lalu mengambil beberapa perspektif lain, misalnya dari teori atau kejadian lain yang serupa, untuk mendukung analisis tersebut.
5. Merancang ulang (Reconstructing): menuliskan rencana alternatif jika menghadapi kejadian serupa di masa mendatang.
Reporting
Memasuki alur ruang kolaborasi, kami bersama teman-teman CGP lainnya dibagi menjadi kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari 3 hingga 4 orang. Pada kesempatan ini kebetulan kelompok kami beranggotakan empat orang. Dalam kelompok, kami diminta untuk mempraktikkan caoching menggunakan TIRTA berdasarkan kasus masing-masing. Dalam kesempatan ini, saya mendapatkan kasus sebagai berikut.
Kasus: Seorang guru sangat memahami jika Rina, salah satu muridnya berbakat dalam berpidato dalam Bahasa Inggris. Ia mendorong Rina untuk mengikuti perlombaan pidato dalam Bahasa Inggris tingkat kabupaten. Namun, nampaknya Rina masih belum percaya diri. Bagaimanakah cara Anda dalam menanggapi hal ini?
Dalam praktik, saya berperan sebagai coach dan teman saya menajdi coachee. Berikut adalah video praktik caoching saya dengan rekan CGP sekelompok saya.
Sedangkan untuk demonstrasi kontekstual, saya praktik coaching dengan rekan sejawat saya di sekolah yang sedang menyusun best practice. Berikut video praktik caoching saya dengan rekan sejawat.

Responding
Setelah melakukan praktik coaching dengan teman CGP satu kelompok dan rekan sejawat, saya berpikir bahwa untuk menerapkan coaching yang efektif, perlu kemauan seorang coach untuk benar-benar memusatkan perhatiannya kepada caochee. Dengan fokus, seorang coach akan mampu mendengarkan dengan baik apa yang disampaikan coachee sehingga coach memahami apa yang dipikirkan dan rasakan oleh coachee. Kemampuan mendengar dengan baik inilah yang disebut sebagai mendengar aktif. Dengan kemampuan mendengar aktif ini seorang coach akan mampu mengajukan pertanyaan-pertanyan reflektif dan assertif yang membantu coachee menemukan pemecahan masalahnya sendiri.
Relating
Setelah melakukan praktik coaching dengan teman kelompok DIklat CGP dan rekan sejawat, saya dapat merasakan bedanya menjadi seorang coach, konselor, dan mentor. Banyak orang yang belum begitu paham perbedaan antara coaching, konseling, dan mentoring termasuk saya. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini saya dapat mengalami sendiri praktik coaching yang memang berbeda dari konseling dan mentoring. Ketika menjadi caoching, semua pertanyaan bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam informasi dari coachee dalam rangka membantu coachee menemukan jalan keluarnya sendiri dari permasahalan yang dihadapi. Berbeda dengan konseling yang menuntut seorang konselii mendengarkan nasihat dan saran dari konselor dan seorang mentii yang mendengarkan pengalaman mentor dalam mengatasi masalah yang dihadapinya. Memang, tidak semua siswa dapat diterapkan coaching karena karakteristik setiap anak yang berbeda-beda sehingga seorang guru harus tahu kapan harus menerapkan coaching, mentoring, atau kosneling sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi yang tepat.
Reasoning
Mengapa seorang guru harus mampu menerapkan coaching, konseling dan mentoring pada saat yang tepat? Karena kadangkala kita jumpai murid yang mungkin termasuk introvert sehingga ketika ditanya hanya memilih diam. Bahkan pertanyaan yang ebrsifat etrtutp saja memilih diam. Berdasarkan pengalaman saya pribadi, saya sudah beberapa kali menjumpai siswa yang termasuk tipe seperti ini. Ketika saya bertanya kepada siswa tersebut, mereka diam seribu bahasa hanya sesekali menganggukkan kepala atau menggelengkan kepala atau kadang menjawab ya dengan suara lirih. Ketika dijumpai seorang siswa seperti ini, mau tidak mau seorang guru harus mampu menjadi seorang konselor dengan memberikan nasehat atau saran kepada siswa tersebut atau menjadi mentor dengan menceritakan pengalaman pribadi guru dalam mengatasi masalah yang pernah dialaminya.
Reconstructing
Ketika saya menghadapi siswa bermasalah dan saya hendak membantunya mengatasi masalahnya, saya harus mampu mengenali karakteristik siswa ketika diajak berkomunikasi. Jika ia memungkinkan diajak untuk berdiskusi maka sebaiknya saya memainkan peran saya sebagai seorang coach. Namun, jika situasi tidak memungkinkan maka saya akan memilih menjadi seorang konselor atau mentor. Bagi saya, coaching tetap ahrus dijadikan sebagai alternatif utama. Jika tidak memungkinkan siswa diajak untuk menemukan jalan keluarnya sendiri, saya akan menggunakan alternatif terakhir, yaitu mentoring atau konseling.
